Mit 17 num. doppelblattgr. grenzkol. Kupferkarten. 1 Bl., 100 (statt 104) S. Ldr. d. Zt., stark berieben und bestoßen, vord. Außengelenk gebrochen, Rücken mit Fehlstellen.
Pastoureau, Sanson III D ("paginées avec erreurs"); Shirley T.SAN-4b. - Seltene Ausgabe. Mit Erdteilkarte sowie Karten von Arabien, Ceylon, China, Japan, Molukken, Philippinen, Sunda-Inseln etc., alle datiert 1652. - Etwas gebräunt und fleckig, teilw. auch wasserfl.; wenige kl. Randläsuren. Vord. freier Vorsatz gelockert, Titel und Chinakte. mit Buntstiftnotiz, Kte. 10 mit Bugeinriß bis ins Bild. S. 77-80 inkl. Kte. 11 verbunden, S. 73-76 fehlen.
Rare undated edition with address "rue S. Iacques" and plate numbers added to the 17 engr. maps coloured in outline. - Somewhat browned and foxed, waterstaining in places, a few small marginal defects. Front fly-leaf almost loose, coloured pencil note to title and map of China, tear to centerfold of map no. 10 affecting image; pp. 77-80 incl. map no. 11 misbound, lacking pp. 73-76 as in the BL copy. Contemp. calf, rather rubbed and worn, upper joint cracked, some flaws to spine.
