Catherine II underwrote the costs of publication; but a change of ministers dried up the funds, and the second volume was abandoned" (Hunt). Erst 1831 erschienen lediglich 25 weitere Taf. für den geplanten, aber nie gedruckten Bd. 2. - Unbeschnitten, Text vereinzelt fleckig, Drucktitel etwas angeschmutzt u. stockfleckig, S. 96 angeschmutzt, wenige kl.
