Kupfertitel etwas tintenfleckig u. oben mit altem Eintrag. Fifth edition. With 137 full-page engr. maps incl. world map (Shirley 230). "All the small maps in this edition are new. The contents are based on the 1601 edition of the 'Epitome', even the additamentum with 13 maps is copied, instead of inserting the maps at their appropriate places. They are better engraved than the original maps by Galle and all have latitudes and longitudes in their borders. They were engraved by Ambrosius and Ferdinad Arsenius" (Koeman). - Some browning, upper margin of a few leaves trimmed. Some inkstaining and old inscription to engr. title. Contemp. calf, spine gilt, somewhat rubbed and worn, tear to 1 hinge.
