Neben zahlreichen kleineren Schriften enthält die Sammlung mehrere Werke in frühen englischen Ausgaben, einige mit eigenem Titelblatt. In den Ergänzungsbänden die Karten meist nach H. Moll, darunter eine Weltkarte, "North America", West Indies", "Terra Firma", "Mexico or New Spain", New Foundland" u. New France". - Nach dem Tafelverzeichnis fehlen in Churchill die Tafeln 98, 196, 199, 286. Originally published in 1704 in four volumes, this edition includes an additional two volumes. This very valuable collection is notables both for its wide range and for drawing upon original accounts. This set also contains the rare two volumes known as the 'Harlein Voyages' compiled from Lord Oxford's library by Thomas Osborne, which are considered supplements to the Churchill's collection. Here Osborne's collection comprise volume 7 and 8 of the series. - Partly browned, foxing in places, few marginal defects of tears, large tears to c. 10 plates and maps, map of the Amazonas in Osborne trimmed. Together 8 volumes in contemporary calf, worn and rubbed, joints mostly cracked, few covers loose.
