"'Species plantarum' was the first work to account for all the kinds of plants then known for the world ... and to provide for each kind a name of two words. This addition of a binomial system of nomenclature to the polynomial system has caused this work to be designated as the starting point for the modern nomenclature of ferns and flowering plants. Because of this, 'Species plantarum' has become [strong]the most important single work in the world's botanical literature"[/strong] (Hunt). Beschreibt 7300 Arten, fast alle von Linné selbst untersucht und klassifiziert. Vorliegend sowohl mit den auszutauschenden Seiten 89/90 (F5) und 259/60 (R3) in Bd. 1 als auch mit den entsprechenden Kartonblättern (in den Vorstücken); die S. 75/76 (E6) in der korrigierten Version, jedoch nicht erkennbar als Kartonblatt.
