Chevrerius (Chevrier), P. Ad Innocentium papam VIII. oratio. (Rom, Stephan Plannck, nach dem 4. Feb. 1485). 4to (21,5:14,5 cm). Got. Typ. 2 nn. Bll. Mod. Umschlag.
Hain 4947; GW 6614; BMC IV, 85; Goff C-447. - Erste Ausgabe, eine zweite erschien noch im selben Jahr bei Bartholomäus Guldinbeck. - In den Rändern ganz leicht stockfleckig, im Fußsteg minimale Wurmspur.
Original issue, a second was prepared by Guldinbeck in the same year. The consistory at which the oration was delivered took place on 4 February, 1485, but both issues are erroneously dated 'quarto calendas Februarii' (= 29 January). As president to the senate of Savoy Chevrier declares his loyality to the papal seat. He points out the merits of Savoy in the struggle against the Turks, especially during the siege of Rhodes. - Minor marginal foxing, insignificant worming to lower blank margin. Recent wrappers.
