Burden 253.2; Goss 31; Lowery 130; Ermen Abb. 12; Koeman II, 9400:2/b. - Aus einer der beiden lat. Ausg. 1640/44. - Etwas gebräunt u. tlw. leicht fleckig. Bugfalte oben bis in den Bildrand eingerissen, unten Wurmstich.
"Detailed map of northeast Florida... and southern Virginia on the basis of several manuscript and maps... The map does contain the first mention of the Appalachians" (E.). Second state, "1640. The left hand cherub now has a 'tail'" (B.), from a Latin ed. - Contemp. col. Some browning, minor spotting in places. Tear at upper centerfold affecting image; wormstitch at lower border.
