Paginierung und Tafelnum. weitgehend sauber mit weichem Bleistift hinzugefügt, die Tafeln num. 1-722, 599A. Tafel 599A wird nicht im Tafelverzeichnis geführt und scheint nur wenigen Exemplaren beigegeben worden zu sein. - Im Bereich der Schnittkante minimal stockfleckig, sonst sauberes Exemplar in gut erhaltenen Einbänden und von ungewöhnlich großem Format. 9 vols., incl. supplement volume published in 1895-96. With 9 lith. titles and 723 (721 coloured) plates. - A tall copy, with a are extra plate 599 A, not included in all copies. Bound in well preserved contemporary half-roan, title gilt to spine and with some gilding, top edges gilt, minor foxing to edges, only very lightly affecting inside pages and plates, minor wear to bindings.
