Wallmap with 2 large hemispheres profuseley illustrated with smaller worldmap in Mercator's projection, maps of the stars, sun and moon et al., incl. descriptive texts. Also showing the tracks of many explorers up to the year 1779, e.g. along the eastern coast of Australia, Bering strait, Pacific Ocean etc. including the Sandwich Island with note: "O-Why-hee where Cap. Cook was killed in February 1779". - Printed from 4 plates, 2 sheets each joined. Contemp. col. in outline (only hemispheres). Light browning and some spotting mostly caused by offsetting. Small tear at lower centerfold to title-sheet; old foldings.
