FRÜHE GUANYIN MIT WUNSCHPERLE. China. Yuan-/Ming-Dynastie oder früher. 14./15. Jh. Dickwandige, schwere Bronze mit dunkler Patina und Resten farbigen Lacks. Sitzend auf einem Lotosthron. In der Krone mit lang herabhängenden Bändern die kleine Darstellung eines Amitâbha, die Brust mit einem Anhänger an Juwelenbändern geschmückt. Das Gewandmuster mit Blüten graviert. Höhe 23,5cm. Provenienz:-Sammlung Carl Gustaf Thulin (1845-1918), Stockholm, durch Erbgang weiterhin in Familienbesitz.Carl Gustaf Thulin war Miteigentümer der Reederei Nordström & Thulin, sowie Generalkonsul von Italien in Stockholm. Thulin besaß eine umfangreiche Sammlung asiatischer Kunst. Den größten Teil dieser Kunstwerke erwarb er auf Reisen durch Asien im späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert. Das Foto zeigt seine Schwiegertochter Eisa Thulin in ihrem Haus in der Bellmansgatan in Stockholm in den 1940er Jahren. Im Hintergrund erkennt man die nun angebotene Guanyin. Erläuterungen zum Katalog觀音銅像元至明或早期 14/15世紀 高23.5cm銅像胎體厚實，包漿自然，殘有彩漆痕跡。觀音頭戴佛冠，面容莊嚴慈悲，身著輕柔天衣，佩戴瓔珞，雙手結禪定印持寶珠，跏趺端坐於單層蓮花寶座。來源：瑞典斯德哥爾摩圖林（Thulin）家族世代相傳。Carl Gustaf Thulin (1845-1918) 原為Nordström & Thulin航運公司所有人之一，也是意大利駐斯德哥爾摩的總領事。圖林先生的亞洲藝術藏品種類繁多，其中大部分是他於19世紀末20世紀初在其亞洲旅行中收藏。配圖中的貴婦人是他的兒媳 Eisa Thulin女士，1940年左右在其位於斯德哥爾摩Bellmansgatan的家中拍攝。她身後書架右上方的銅像便是此尊。Asiatika - Chinesisches Kunsthandwerk 14./15.
