Der martialisch aussehende Shôki in typischer Kleidung, ein Schwert auf den Rücken gebunden, wirft in schwungvoller Geste zu 'oni yarai' die Bohnen, die die Teufel vertreiben sollen, nicht bemerkend, dass sich einer verängstigt den schmerzenden Kopf haltend unter dem Reismaß in seiner Linken versteckt hat.
