TSUBA WITH CLEAVES NATA
Iron. Japan, 19th cent.
Tsuba rendered in the style of the old ko-katchushi, of strongly rounded kakugata form with ryohitsu and two oval udenake-ana, rounded and slightly raised rim, the main motif is pierced as a negative and shows an arched nata (small cleave), polished surface and blackening.

Das Hauptmotiv ist voll negativ ausgeführt und gibt auf prägnante Weise ein gebogenes Nata wieder, das ist ein kleines Hackbeil. Polierte Oberfläche und Schwärzung.
