THRONENDER BODHISATTVA GUANYINBronze. China, späte Ming bis Qing-Dynastie, ca. 17. bis 18. Jh.Guanyin sitzt im Lotussitz, Oberkörper und Kopf mit Krone sind höhengelängt, die Brust ist mit Schmuck behängt. Der Sockel ist ein Fels, aus dem seitlich knorrige Äste ragen, auf denen die Attribute Vogel und Kännchen gestellt sind. Der Vogel ein Hinweis auf die Legende der Prinzessin Miaoshan, die zu einer der Guanyin-Formen wurde. Sehr kräftige, dunkle Patina. 青銅造觀音菩薩座像。中國，明代晚期至清代，約17至18世 紀。高17.3厘米。德國舊藏。HÖHE 17,3 CMAus einer deutschen Sammlung-THRONING BODHISATTVA GUANYINBronze. China, late Ming to Qing Dynasty, approx. 17th to 18th cent.Guanyin sits in lotus pose, upper body and head with crown are held high, the breast is adorned with jewelry. The base is a rock out of which gnarled branches are jutting to display the attributes of bird and rabbit. The bird is a reference to the legend of Princess Miaoshan, who became one of the embodiments of Guanyin.
