EMERALD RING, EARRINGS AND PENDANT/NECKLACE 1st: Emerald ring Emerald cabochon Ring size approx. R½ (leading edge) 2nd: Emerald earrings Emerald cabochons Screw-back fittings Length 1.5cm 3rd: Emerald and diamond pendant/necklace Emerald cabochon Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.15ct total 18 carat gold UK import marks Lengths: pendant 2.3cm, necklace 45.5cm Total weight approx. 31.5g (3) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to the unhallmarked yellow metal (ring hoop testing as 17ct gold, settings of earrings testing at 17ct gold), some scuffing to outer hoop of ring. Ring stamped to inner hoop with heavily rubbed mark (possibly 18CT) with some porosity visible to gallery under closer inspection. Earrings with some spots of discoloration to reverse and screw back fittings, suitable for non-pierced ears. 3rd: Spots of discolouration to pendant under closer inspection and minor scuffs and scratches to the 18ct gold. Pendant stamped to link with Sheffield import marks for 18 carat gold, sponsors mark CS and date letter X. Chain stamped to link with London import marks for 18 carat gold, makers mark (possibly R and L flanking a shell in lozenge), and date letter y. EMERALDS Displaying a medium green hue with moderate transparency, eye visible typical inclusions, some surface reaching. One emerald to earring with a small chip near a surface-reaching inclusion, visible with magnification and strong light. DIAMONDS Bright and lively. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
