Cased Colt Model 1855 Side Hammer (Root) Revolver, 1859. Serial number 20700, .28 caliber, octagonal barrel with proper markings, steel frame and cylinder, walnut grips, the compartmented walnut case lined in red velvet with Colt ball/bullet mold, a bronze ball mold, punch and pewter flask. Barrel lg. 3 1/2, overall lg. 8 in. Condition: Revolver surfaces are oxidized, the frame has traces of blued finish, several screws are missing, action is imperfect and needs attention, grip has chips; case shows internal wear, flask has holes.
