An Expertly Rebuilt 50-Bore Flintlock Pistol Partly Early 18th Century With tapering two-stage cannon barrel with pronounced ring at the muzzle and inscribed 'LONDINI' forward of the border engraved breech, the latter octagonal becoming polygonal and decorated with a foliate mask on the top flat flanked by foliage on the flat on either side, border engraved tang decorated with strawberry foliage, border engraved rounded lock and cock en suite, the former engraved 'inscribed', moulded figured rounded butt, iron mounts comprising engraved serpentine side-plate with pierced tail, plain fore-end plate extending back to form the trigger-plate, and button trigger (steel parts polished bright over old pitting in places), remains of indistinct proof marks 13.7 cm. barrel For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
