AN ENGLISH BRASS BARREL FLINTLOCK MUSKETOON ASSEMBLED FROM EARLIER PARTS, late 18th century. 23 1/4, .70 caliber early 18th century brass barrel with cannon muzzle and vine engraving; slightly convex lock with pointed tail engraved below the pan 'T/HENSHAW'; ash stock; brass furniture including at butt plate with long tang with leaf finial and hinged compartment in the back, trigger guard with fleur-de-lys finial, openwork serpent and scroll side plate, brass rammer and entry pipe, later wood rammer (stock spliced in front of the lock).
