Five English delftware plates and two bowls, mid-18th century Painted in blue with figures in chinoiserie landscapes and gardens, one probably Liverpool, with two figures and a stag, the rim with fences, one perhaps Bristol, with a lady holding a basket of flowers, one probably Liverpool, with a Chinese man seated beneath a tree with his spear, one with a lady holding a fan before a building, and one with a Chinese man and his dog beside a pagoda, the bowls probably Liverpool, comprising one with two ladies under a parasol in a fenced garden, a figure holding a baby standing on a cloud beside them, and one with a lady on a balcony watching a Chinese man release a bird, 21-22cm diam (7) Footnotes: Provenance With Alan Milford, 1980 (centre) With Jonathan Horne, 1998 (lower-left) With Garry Atkins, 1998 (lower-right) Graham Slater Collection Two similar bowls to the example with the ladies under a parasol, probably Liverpool, are illustrated by Frank Britton, English Delftware (1982), p.196, nos.12.47 and 12.48, where the identity of the figures is explained. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
