Oranger Ton, glänzende, schwarze Tonfarbe. a) ATTISCH-SCHWARZFIGURIGES FRAGMENT EINER SIANASCHALE, DEM TARASMALER ZUGESCHRIEBEN. Attischer Ton, Tonfarbe vielerorts dünn und braun-orange. - Auf Aussenseite auf Rand und Henkelzone junger Reiter nach links zwischen zwei Frauen, die linke ihm zugewandt, die andere nach rechts stehend. Kranz im Hintergrund. Schwarze Linie unterhalb des Randabsatzes. Um 570 v.C. b) CHALKIDISCHES AMPHORA-FRAGMENT. Beine der stehenden Figur stellenweise zu mattem Braun gebrannt. - Beine einer Figur und Teil eines Reiters nach rechts; zwischen den Figuren Palmette als Füllornament. Unter dem Bild Spitzen eines für chalkidische Vasen charakteristischen Strahlenkranzes. Um 540-520 v.C.Provenienz: Slg. Orange clay, lustrous black clay paint. a) AN ATTIC BLACK-FIGURE SIANA CUP FRAGMENT, ASSIGNED TO THE TARAS PAINTER. Attic clay, clay paint, thin and patchy brown orange in places. - On the outside, overlapping band and lip a young horseman to left between two women to right. Black encircling line beneath the offset lip. Around 570 B.C. b) A FRAGMENT OF A CHALCIDIAN AMPHORA. The legs of the standing figure partially fired to dark brown. - The fragment preserves the legs of a figure and part of a horseman riding to right; between the figures a palmette. Below the scene, the points of the elongated rays characteristic of Chalcidian vases. Around 540-520 B.C.Provenance: Coll.
