KOPF EINES PRIESTERS H. 13.3 cm. Kalkstein, Spuren roter Farbe. Zypriotisch, um 480 v.C.Buckelförmige Locken im Bogen über die Stirn geführt; darüber Lorbeerkranz; im Nacken Krobylos. Grosse, erhabene, mandelförmige Augen, von flachen Brauenbögen gerahmt, dominieren das Gesicht. Feine, leicht gespitzte Lippen; das Kinn springt etwas vor. Farbspuren auf linker Pupille und Lippen. Bestossungen an Kranz, Stirnhaar und im Gesicht. Im Nacken alte Inv.-Nr. mit roter Farbe verzeichnet «72.346». Teil einer Statuette. Votivgabe.Provenienz: Ehem. Slightly protruding chin. Traces of colour on the left pupil and lips. Wreath, hair above forehead and face slightly worn. Part of a statuette.
