Die luftige Ornamentik ist bezeichnend für den Louis XV. Stil, der sich von den strengen Formen des Barock abwandte und so zu der leichteren, intimeren Gestaltungsweise des Rokoko fand.
Zustand:
Die Console d’applique befindet sich in einem guten, altersgerechten Zustand und wurde stellenweise überarbeitet. Die Deckplatte zeigt teils stärkeren Oberflächenabrieb. Die Ornamentik der Front ist partiell leicht berieben und weist mehrere kleinere Fehlstellen auf. Einige Risse sind sichtbar, teils restauriert. Die Maße betragen 34 x 38,5 x 26 cm. (nlu)

The airy ornamentation is characteristic of the Louis XV style, which moved away from the strict forms of the Baroque and took over the lighter, more intimate way of Rococo design.
Condition:
The console d’applique is in a good condition, consistent with age and was partially reworked. The top plate bears heavier surface abrasion in places. The ornamentation of the front is rubbed in parts and displays various small blemishes. Several cracks are visible, some of them restored. The dimensions are 34 x 38.5 x 26 cm. (nlu)
