Diese scheibenförmige Pulverflasche mit exotischem Verschluss besticht durch das kostbare Material des gedrechseltem Buchsbaumkorpusses, der in seiner Form sehr schön in der Hand liegt. Eingefasst wird die Flasche durch eine teilweise mit Ritzgravur dekorierte Zinnmontage, die über eine Trageöse verfügt. Pulverflaschen dienten zur Aufbewahrung von Schwarzpulver bzw. Zündkraut; dank der schmalen Öffnung lässt sich der Lauf des Gewehrs direkt befüllen und gut dosieren.

Zustand:
Das Gefäß befindet sich in einem optisch dem Alter entsprechend sehr gutem Zustand mit einigen geringfügigen Gebrauchsspuren. Das Zinn hat einige leichte Rostspuren. Die Gesamtmaße der Pulverflasche betragen 18 x 13 x 4,5 cm (H x B x T). (tm)

This disk-shapes powder flask with exotic lock is striking in the precious material of he turned boxwood corpus that lies comfortably in the hand. The bottle is framed by a partially with engraved décor decorated pewter mount, which also possesses of a bottle mount. Powder flasks were used to store gun powder; the narrow mouth allowed for the gun barrel to be filled directly in accurate doses.

Condition:
The flask is in optically good condition regarding its age with some minor traces of use. The pewter has some traces of rust. The total dimensions of the powder flask are 18 x 13 x 4.5 cm (height x width x depth). (tm)
