Dieser illustrierte Band mit dem Titel „Old Colonial Architecture in New South Wales and Tasmania” wurde 1924 in Sydney veröffentlicht. Der Autor des Werkes ist Hardy Wilson (1881-1955), der auch als Architekt und Künstler bekannt ist. Das Werk zeigt auf insgesamt 50 farbig lithografierten Tafeln die koloniale Architektur in New South Wales und Tasmanien.

Zustand:
Das Werk ist in gutem Zustand mit leichten Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Die Seiten sind leicht gebräunt und teilweise etwas fleckig. Der Einband ist berieben, die Ecken sind bestoßen. Die Höhe des Großfolio-Bandes beträgt 48,5 cm und die Breite 39 cm.

Hardy Wilson (1881-1955)
Hardy Wilson wurde 1881 in Campbelltown, New South Wales, geboren und war ein australischer Architekt, Künstler und Autor. Wilson wird heute wird er als einer der Schlüsselfiguren des Georgianischen Architekturstils bezeichnet.

This illustrated volume with the title “Old Colonial Architecture in New South Wales and Tasmania” was published in 1924 by Union House in Sydney. The author of the work is Hardy Wilson (1881-1955), also known as Australian architect and artist. The volume presents in 50 lithographs in colors the colonial architecture in New South Wales and Tasmania.

Condition:
The work is in good condition with slight signs of age and wear. The pages are slightly toned and show some stains here and there. The binding is rubbed and the edges are bumped. The height of the folio volume is 48.5 cm and the width 39 cm.

Hardy Wilson was born in Campbelltown, New South Wales in 1881 and was an Australian architect, artist and author. Wilson is today known as one of the key practitioner in the Georgian Revival style. (lvp)
