Die Dose ist insgesamt im sehr guten Zustand mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren im Innern der Dose. Der Durchmesser beträgt 6,5 cm.
Charles Guillaume Bourgeois (1759-1832)
Der in Amiens geborene Charles Bourgeois war ein Schüler des bekannten Kupferstechers Johann Georg Wille (1715-1808). Er ist besonders durch seine Miniaturportraits in Camaïeu bekannt geworden. Zudem war er ein bedeutender Optiker. Einige seiner Porträts befinden sich heute im Louvre. Bourgeois liegt auf dem Friedhof in Montmartre begraben. (cko)

Charles Guillaume Bourgeois (1759-1832)
Born in Amiens, Charles Bourgeois was a student of the famous engraver Johann Georg Wille (1715-1808). He has become known for his miniature portraits in Camaïeu. In addition, he was an important optician. Some of his portraits are today in the collection of the Louvre. Bourgeois is buried at the cemetery in Montmarte. (cko)
