This episode depicts Charles and Diana's 1983 Royal tour of Australia. This was the couple's first Royal tour together, with their infant son, Prince William, and it lasted six weeks. At the time, the popularity of the Royal Family was dwindling in Australia; the episode shows how Diana (played by Emma Corrin) dazzled on the tour, restoring faith in the Royal Family in Australia, and how her popularity eclipsed Charles (played by Josh O'Connor), causing a rift in their relationship.
