A Lambeth delftware ballooning plate, another plate and a bowl, circa 1780-90 With feathered rims, the ballooning plate painted in blue, green and manganese with Vincenzo Lunardi's ascent, below a festooned border, the second plate with green floral centre, the small bowl with blue flowers to the exterior and a small landscape in centre, bowl 12.7cm diam, plates 22.8cm diam (3) Footnotes: Provenance With Garry Atkins (ballooning plate and bowl) With Jonathan Horne (foliate plate) Graham Slater Collection The ballooning plate was made at the Lambeth High Street Pottery of Thomas Morgan and Abigail Griffith. It seems likely that the foliate plate and small bowl are were also made here, sharing many of the same decorative motifs. Feathered rims are also found on pearlware towards the end of the 18th century.
